Todd Petit, ASA, MAAA

Todd is an AVP of Advanced and Specialty Markets.  With more than 25 years of financial services industry experience, he focuses on delivering Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America product knowledge, sales ideas, and industry concepts by partnering with the distribution channels to serve internal and external customers.  In his role, he manages the Advanced Markets team with advising on advanced uses of life insurance and annuities, as well as the training of Allianz employees on new life insurance concepts and products.  He has been with the company for over 20 years, with his previous role as product development actuary focused on product design, implementation, reinsurance negotiations, government relations and marketing strategy.  Todd has built extensive experience in the insurance industry, and has designed several types of insurance products, including variable life, variable annuities, fixed life, term life, and long-term care.  Todd also has a passion for agent education and he has spoken as a life insurance expert at numerous conferences, seminars, and webinars.

Todd received his BA in mathematics from the University of Notre Dame- Indiana in 1994.  He is an associate of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

In his free time, Todd enjoys strategy games and running.  He and his family reside in Minnesota.
