InsMark Link Instructions - Overview

Updating to the new Web Link

If you already have a link and are updating to the new Web Link, start at Step 3 below.

Setting up a New Link

The Link between your software and InsMark's software not only enforces the accuracy of your policy data, but it triggers all of your customized options such as disclaimer pages, custom footnotes, custom coding, and any global changes or product-specific changes you have requested.

If you are an Ebix client and you want to link WinFlex to InsMark, please call Mark Krantz at 801-599-4022 or email him at Mark.Krantz@ebix.com

For all other links, work with Chad Kluver, InsMark's Interface Programmer to complete the steps below.  Chad can be reached at 925-543-0507 or email him at Chad@insmark.com

Step 1

Provide Company Information

Complete and Submit your Company Information Form.  This information is used in illustrations created in InsMark software products.

Step 2

Create Product Templates

Complete a Product Template for each type of product you have.

Step 3

Add a Link in Your Software

You will need to modify your proposal software to add a button or link that when activated, will send your product information to InsMark.

Step 4

Button File Specifications

These are the specifications your programmers will need to create the Button File in your software.

Step 5

Download the
Link Test System

To test the data that is sent to InsMark, download and install the Link Test System by clicking the text to your left.  This tool allows you to verify that the data we receive from your software is accurate.

Further, you will need to run test cases in your basic illustration software (generating tests that at a minimum use all templates, all custom changes (if any), and all variations of your footnotes) for the main purpose of signing off that your data is linked accurately.

Step 6

Company Sign-Off

Submit the InsMark Link Sign-Off form to start the release of the configuration data.
